"The Games gave me the chance to build something that will last, to leave behind a legacy. I'll always be grateful for that."
Among the first tributes to train specifically for the Hunger Games, Jade was the first Career victor. Armed with his training and natural charisma, Jade formed a pact with two of the strongest tributes. Between the three of them, they killed a third of the tributes in the bloodbath, then scoured the arena, eliminating survivors one by one. With the other tributes weak from thirst, Jade and his allies had no trouble hunting them down. On the sixth day, with four tributes remaining, Jade turned on his allies, catching the first off-guard and killing him quickly. The girl from Four put up more of a fight, but, after an intense struggle, Jade killed her, as well, then quickly found and eliminated the final tribute himself.
Following his first successful mentorship, Jade worked alongside Stellar to found District One's first Career Academy, determined that they would be only the first of many victors to come. Working together brought Jade and Stellar even closer, and, before long, the two married. Their daughter, Thea, decided to forgo training, while her older brother, Jasper, followed in his parents' footsteps and, under their guidance, became the family's third victor. Jade and Stellar still officially oversee the academy, but Jasper has recently over more day-to-day activities, preparing for the day when his parents will retire.

"I lost my sister to the Games. But the family I've found - the family I've built in her memory - will outlast either of us."
After her sister Thea's death in the Tenth Hunger Games, Stellar approached Jade and begged him to personally train her for the next Games. Jade readily agreed, and, after a year of intense training, Stellar volunteered for the Eleventh Hunger Games, keeping her promise to Thea. As the sister of the previous year's runner-up tribute, Stellar found favor with the Capitol audience and sympathy from the other tributes. Once in the arena, her sympathy-garnering act was dropped, and she proved to be more capable - and more ruthless - than her older sister. Her alliance of six volunteers quickly eliminated the other tributes, then turned on each other. In the final battle, Stellar's more rigorous training regimen proved decisive; as the others tired, she mustered the will to fight on, and, finally, emerged victorious.
Stellar credited her extra training and Jade's skill as an instructor for her victory, and, soon after the Games, she and Jade opened the first Career Academy. As they worked together, training future tributes, their bond grew, and, within a year, they were married. They have two children, one of whom Stellar named in Thea's honor. Thea decided not to train for the Games, while Jasper followed in his parents' footsteps and became the family's third victor.

"I finally have what I always wanted, what I fought so hard for: a normal life. And I'm going to live it."
Desperate to escape a rough home life, Felix was one of the first to enroll at the newly-founded training academy and practically lived there until volunteering. Training gave his life purpose, direction, meaning. Volunteering for the Games was, to Felix, simply the natural result of his efforts, and, for a while, he didn't really care whether or not he made it out alive. However, after a close brush with death at the hands of his allies when the Careers split, Felix fought with renewed vigor and determination. He briefly allied with the boy from Eleven to take on his former allies, and, after a long struggle, they overpowered the three battered Careers. Felix quickly slew his new ally, who had been wounded in the fight, and hunted down the final tribute himself.
Since returning from the Games, Felix has done his best to build the normal life that he never had. With other victors more than willing to serve as mentors, Felix has been able to take a step back from the Games. As far as he's concerned, he's accomplished what he set out to do. He trained, volunteered, won - and now it's time to move on. He and his wife, Jasmine, are happily married with three children, all of whom passed reaping age safely, without the slightest interest in training - and none of whom, thanks to the Career system, ever had to worry about facing the Games against their will.

Victor of the 23rd Hunger Games
"There's nothing quite like the thrill of the Games, but at least I've managed to find the next best thing."
A thrill-seeker from an early age, Scarlet lived for the rush she got from training, often leaving her fellow would-be-tributes a little worse for the wear. Impatient to the point of recklessness, she ignored Jade and Stellar's suggestion that she wait another year or two and eagerly threw herself into the Games. After the bloodbath, during which Scarlet picked up two kills, tension between Scarlet and the girl from Two caused an early split in the Career pack on the second day. Scarlet and her district partner, Ebony, scoured the northern half of the arena for tributes, while the pair from Two searched the southern half. On the fourth day, the sound of two cannons alerted her to the fact that she and Ebony were the only ones left; the pair from Two had fallen victim to a tornado. The ensuing fight was long and bloody, but, in the end, Scarlet's speed and agility gave her the edge over her larger ally, and she claimed the title of victor on only the fourth day - the shortest Games in over twenty years.
The end of the Games left Scarlet with the inevitable question, "Now what?" Training and even mentoring proved to be poor imitations of the thrill she had felt during her own Games. Finally, however, Scarlet found her niche. Following the first Quarter Quell, Capitol interest in revisiting previous Games and arenas grew. The visits, they quickly reasoned, would be more enjoyable with a seasoned victor to serve as a guide and entertainer - and maybe even reenact a historic battle or two. Unlike most victors, Scarlet doesn't mind reliving her own Games - or anyone else's - and considers it the next best thing to being in the arena again.

Victor of the 34th Hunger Games
"Is life as a Victor perfect? No. But it's a hell of a lot better than what I had before. And that's good enough for me."
Training, to Amelia, was often like a dream: an escape from a reality of verbal and emotional abuse from her parents, siblings who always outshone her, and classmates who mocked her. Training was the one place she truly belonged. Naturally, she assumed, she belonged in the Games, as well. Amelia tallied two kills in the bloodbath, and a third on guard duty that night when the boy from Eight tried to raid the cornucopia. When the Careers' leader, the boy from Two, was killed by mutts, Amelia assumed the role without much opposition. On the ninth day, the Careers saw a rare peaceful split, but, after hunting down the other tributes, only the remaining Careers were left to vie for the Victor's crown. Amelia and her allies tracked the pair from Four to a fossilized nest, and the long-awaited fight ensued. As they fought, buzzard mutts descended and made off with weapon after weapon, finally leaving the remaining tributes with nothing but fossil bones. Amelia quickly claimed the largest, clubbing the boy from Four to death. Left to face the girl from Two, Amelia held on longer, finally striking a killing blow.
Upon returning to District One, Amelia found she had a new family to replace the one that had neglected her for so long. Despite having a house of her own in Victors' Village, she's a frequent guest at the Florens' house - and a welcome one. She has no interest in mentoring, but often stops by the training center to see how the prospective tributes are coming along, to encourage them the way Jade and Stellar once encouraged her.

"I may have volunteered for them. But I won for me. As for what I do now - that's for the district. For the future."
With two victors as parents, both Jasper and his sister Thea showed an early interest in training. While Thea eventually decided it wasn't for her, Jasper continued to pursue that interest more and more intently. No one was surprised when Jasper was chosen by his parents to volunteer. A crowd favorite for his friendly, personable nature, as well as his heritage, Jasper rode this popularity through the Capitol, the bloodbath, and the early part of the Games. As the Games continued, however, the other Careers began to suspect that even the Gamemakers were favoring Jasper. They turned on him, and Jasper barely escaped with his life. But instead of discouraging him, their betrayal gave Jasper a new drive. He would win these Games - not for his parents, not for the Capitol, but simply because he wanted to live. On the eighth day, only three tributes remained: Jasper and two of his former allies. When they came to hunt him down, they found him lying in wait in a skull-shaped cave. Jasper quickly slew the girl from Four with a rock and disarmed the boy from Two. After a long battle, Jasper's determination paid off, and he choked the life out of his former ally.
Jasper returned home to proud parents and a district that was delighted at yet another Floren victor. Jasper soon began accompanying his parents during training, and has mentored alongside one of them since the 40th Games. It's become obvious recently that Jade and Stellar are grooming him to take over the academy when they decide to retire, and Jasper couldn't be happier.
